Our Leadership Team

Our trainers are licensed Physical Therapists who utilize outcome assessments in daily clinical practice to ensure that treatments create measurable change in patients’ functional abilities. We have experience in consulting on the development of study protocols in all phases of clinical trials, specializing in the rater training and certification of clinical evaluators (from novice to expert) to ensure the accuracy of outcome assessment data for clinical research. We have a network of Physical Therapists who specialize in adult and pediatric neuromuscular disease, orthopedics, and cardiopulmonary disorders committed to ensuring that measurable change in data is true change.

Mike Calcagni PT, DPT

Co-Founder Clinical Assessment Solutions

Michael Calcagni PT, DPT is co-founder of Clinical Assessment Solutions and a Doctor of Physical Therapy Practicing in the state of Rhode Island. Michael’s main clinical focus is on orthopedics and neuromuscular diseases. A significant amount of his caseload is focused on increasing the function and quality of life of patients with early onset Parkinson’s Disease. Michael uses functional outcome measures as part of his daily practice to ensure his interventions create measurable change in patients’ lives. He has been involved with clinical research as a consultant and clinical evaluator trainer on phase II and phase III rare neuromuscular disease trials. Michael has coordinated and led national and international investigator meetings and has consulted on script development and production of clinical outcome assessment training videos for site resources.

Brandon Lum PT, DPT, OCS

Co-Founder Clinical Assessment Solutions

Brandon Lum is co-founder of Clinical Assessment Solutions and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Brandon has worked for over 15 years as a Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedics and neuromuscular disease. He is a published researcher and wrote his doctoral project on using objective functional outcome measure data to justify patient improvement for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services reporting. Brandon has taught clinical continuing education courses to both professional and non-professional staff.


Brandon has worked as a consultant on rare neuromuscular disease trials, advising on clinical outcome assessment selection, writing standardized testing protocols, and developing rater training material (training videos). He has also consulted as a rater trainer performing in-person and remote rater training sessions both nationally and internationally.  Brandon has led rater training sessions at national and international investigator meetings as well as consulted on training manual protocols and process improvement to ensure clear and concise uniformity for clinicians. He is an avid proponent of the use of clinical outcome measures to accurately capture each patient’s functional improvement.

Logan Lee PT, DPT, PCS

Pediatric Clinical Specialist

Logan is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pediatrics as a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist (PCS). She is experienced in treating a wide variety of pediatric patients, including those with neuromuscular and neurodevelopmental disorders. Logan is passionate about working with children and their families to provide evidenced based care to achieve their maximal potential and function through skilled and purposeful play.

Logan has collaborated with consulting teams on rater training protocols for pediatric rare neuromuscular disease trials and has experience scripting and filming pediatric outcome assessment tests for training videos. Logan is committed to improving the reliability of outcome assessment data related to pediatric neuromuscular disease research.
